I AM JIMMY PARKER OF REPO RECORD AND COLLECTIBLES.
I HAD A RETAIL STORE FOR 18YRS.
THE OVERHEAD AND DOWNLOADS "BIT" INTO MY PROFITS SO WE WENT ONLINE.
I HAVE BEEN IN THE RECORD BUSINESS SINCE 1972. I WORKED IN CHARLOTTE & ATLANTA. I STARTED OUT ON THE PACKING TABLE, DRIVER,PULLER OF ORDERS,VERIFIER,PRICER, ASST. BUYER,BUYER,RETURNS,AND PROMOTIONAL CALLS ON RADIO STATIONS.
IN 1988 I OPENED REPO RECORDS & COLLECTIBLES INC CHARLOTTE IN CHARLOTTE.AFTER A YEAR OR THREE I WAS THE KING of THE "MOM & POP" RECORD STORES.IN 1994-2005.
THEN THE BIG-BOX STORES AND DISCOUNTERS ATE AWAY THE PROFITS. IT COST ME MORE TO BUY FROM THE ONE-STOPS ( their inventory was gigantic too) THAN TO RUN DOWN TO A "BEST BUY".
MOSTLY I LIST IS VINYL.I HAVEN'T ADDED TO MY XL SPREAD IN 3 YRS.I KEEP KEEP IT UPDATED!!!I ALSO I TRY TO DESCRIBE AS MUCH DETAIL AS POSSIBLE TO PAINT A VISUAL PICTURE. THANK YOU .

Most of the LPs were cherry-picked from thousands of LP we looked through in the 18 yrs we were retail. Some of the more sealed and oddities are from my collection.
1st I open 4 mill. Outer protective. LP bag from Repo Records Inc. (Google) repocds.com (: REPO DEPOT is a branch off:) in N.C.
The LPs have been re-cleaned with H2o & 22% alcohol solution.wINDEX IS WHAT GOLDMINE.
pOLISH LP WITH A NICE MICRO-CLOTH.NEW OR NICE INNER SLEEVE. ORIGIONAL IF IT'S WORTHY.
Re- graded/Re-priced.Play graded intro and 1st cut ,both sides. Look for any blemishes. Using a high output bulb to look for imperfections. If the record has a flaw it is played, graded, or trashed. Some LPs may have a mark from the LP sleeve dragging it in and out. No Biggie.

I also look at the age of the LP to Grade it. If an LP is worthy it will be listed fair compared to other sellers. Most time I under price the other sellers to secure the sale.
